A lively Zillertal town with a steep signature run.
Mayrhofen is one of the best known resorts in the Zillertal valley, a lively town with a big ski area above it and a famously steep run, the Harakiri. It is popular with British visitors for its friendly feel and good nightlife.

The skiing
The skiing is mostly intermediate and reached by gondola from the valley floor, with plenty of cruising and a strong terrain park. The nearby Hintertux glacier is on the same regional pass for guaranteed snow.
The village and the evenings
The town has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a busy after ski scene. It is well set up for families by day and groups by night.
Getting there
Innsbruck is only about an hour away, with a regional train running up the valley.
