High altitude, duty free and great value.
Livigno sits high in a remote valley near the Swiss border and enjoys duty free status, which makes it excellent value for a week's skiing and shopping. The altitude also gives it a long, reliable season.

The skiing
The terrain spreads along both sides of the valley, mostly gentle and intermediate, with a strong terrain park and reliable snow. It is a great choice for improvers and for groups watching the budget.
The village and the evenings
The long village strip is lively and friendly, with plenty of bars and shops taking advantage of the tax free prices. It has a cheerful, sociable feel.
Getting there
Bergamo is the usual budget airport at around three and a half hours, with Innsbruck an alternative over the passes.
