The skiing
The glacier gives long, reliable descents from over 3,000m, and the resort connects to the wider Zillertal area on the regional pass. Conditions up high are excellent even when the rest of the Alps is short of snow.
The village and the evenings
The village at the foot of the glacier is small and no frills, focused firmly on the skiing. It is quiet in the evenings and all about the mountain.
Getting there
Innsbruck is about an hour and a quarter away up the Zillertal valley.
